How it works
Developing and strengthening the skills in each EF skill cluster (a group of related executive function skills form a “cluster”) are crucial for living in the modern world.
Here are the foundational EF skill clusters we’ll coach you on:

Perception: your awareness of yourself and your environment.
Focus: directing your attention.
Sustained attention: extending your focus for a prolonged amount of time.
Time Sense: sensing how long a task will take or the amount of time left.
Pace: your internal system for how fast or slow you move through a task
Sequence Execute: cuing a sequence of events
Self-monitor: checking oneself
Self-correction: adjusting your response if an error was found during self-monitoring
Self-modulation: regulating your own intensity
Balance: regulating multiple demands at a time
Energize: bringing the correct amount of energy to a task.
Initiate: your ability to effectively start a task.
Inhibit: not acting when actions do not “fit” the situation.
Stop: stopping a behavior when asked.
Shifting: moving your attention from one stimulus to another.
Pausing: shifting your attention between stimuli and then returning to the original task.
Flexibility: handling change
Anticipate: thinking into the future and making predictions.
Gauge: considering a situation and determining what the demands will be.
Analyze: detailed examination of an object, topic, or situation; deeper understanding
Compare/Contract: analyzing something and then determining its differences, similarities, and significance to something else.
Generate: coming up with novel ideas or actions
Prioritize: determining levels of importance.
Plan: creating an order of events directed at reaching a goal.
Organize: approaching a task with order.
Decide: determining the best approach or option for a task or situation.
Phonological Loop: verbal working memory (holds & manipulates auditory info).
Visuo-Spatial Sketchpad: nonverbal working memory (holds & manipulates visual/spatial info).
With the right strategy, you can learn to effectively employ EF skills in your day-to-day life, allowing you to enjoy your life instead of fighting through it.
